Full Description

Field boundaries of probable post medieval date are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs, to the south of Bucklehsam Road, Foxhall parish, centred on circa TM232422. They are alinged on a roughly north-south and east-west axis, possibly abutting Bucklesham Road, and a boundary to the the eastern extent of the complex appears to match the line of the former parish boundary. A small square enclosure of unknown function can also be seen at TM 23364223 (see BUC 026) and may be associated with this field system. Cropmarks of a probably much earlier extensive field system can also be seen in this area on a slightly different alignment (see BUC 012).
