Monument record NBN 034 - Post Medieval land boundaries.

Probably post-medieval land boundaries can be seen as an earthwork bank intermittently visible on aerial photographs for circa 650 metres to the south of Newbourne village, Newbourne parish. The bank follows the line of a tree planted boundary marked on the first edition Ordnance Survey map of circa 1884, curving around the south of Newbourne village from circa TM268421 to TM274424. It is unclear whether the bank was deliberately built or has formed over the stumps or roots of felled trees. (S1, S2)
