Full Description

A possible ditched trackway of unknown date is visible on aerial photographs as pale cropmarks running for approximately 210 metres up Reddenpit Hill, Hemley parish. The possible ditches are less than 1 metre wide and are parallel separated by a circa 2 metre gap. It is not entirely clear from the photographs whether the cropmarks are caused by ditches or compressed soil, as might be caused by wheel ruts. The track appears to cross the eastern edge of a possible concentric ring ditch (HMY 040), the ditches of which are visible as dark cropmarks. (S1)
