Full Description

Possible field boundaries of probable medieval or post-medieval date are visible on aerial photographs as cropmarks, circa 170 metres to the south of St Mary's Church, Great Bealings parish, centred on circa TM231486. (S1) They are between the 5 and 10 metre contours and appear to enclose a small loop of land on the northern bank of the River Lark. They also appear to match the pattern of the surrounding extant field system. It is possible they were part of the grounds or gardens of Bealings Hall (S2).
