Full Description

A possible ring ditch is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs of 1980, circa 110 metres to the north of Spratt's Plantation, Martlesham parish, centred on circa TM254456 (S1). A possible low mound can also be seen in this location on aerial photographs of 1944 when viewed stereoscopically (S2). A possible interpretation of this site is as the remains of a barrow of prehistoric date. However, neither photographic source is very clear and more reconnaissance is required.

2008: An assessment of aerial photographs identified a possible ring ditch and mound both of which might indicate bronze age burial sites. (S3)
