Full Description

A causeway to the River Waveney is visible as an earthwork across drained grassland, to the north-west of Heath Farm, St Mary South Elmham parish, centred on circa TM284859. the raised road or path is circa 6 to 7 metres wide and 100 metres long. On aerial photographs of 1945 the causeway is accessed from crossing a drainage ditch at point to the west of Heath Farm, but this small bridge may have been removed by 1967; there is no crossing point over the drain marked on the current base map.
