Full Description

A formal garden probably executed by W.A. Nesfield, is visible on aerial photographs as earthworks to the south of Flixton Hall (FLN 004), Flixton parish, centred on circa TM 303858 (S1). The garden, made up of paths, parterres and planting has not been transcribed as it is drawn in detail on the First and Second Edition Ordnance Survey maps of circa 1884 and 1904 (S2, S3), but it is felt to be worthy of record.
