Full Description

A searchlight battery of Second World War date with associated Light Anti-Aircraft Artillery emplacements and a pillbox is visible on aerial photographs as a number of earthwork emplacements and structures centred on circa TM 342874 to the south of Manor Farm, Bungay parish. The earthwork emplacements suggest that the battery is composed of one 150 mm light and 3 90cm lights, probably grouped into a clover-leaf formation. The pillbox is located adjacent to the field boundary to the south of the site. No accommodation huts are visible, troops probably housed in nearby buildings. (S1, S2)
