Ditched field boundaries of possible medieval and post-medieval date are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs, in a field to the south-east of Manor Farm, Bungay parish, centred on circa TM 345875. Possibly two phases of land division are visible. Linear cropmarks define a small irregularly shaped field in the southern corner of the larger field, the boundaries of which fit into the wider field pattern as marked on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map, even though the field itself is not marked (S1). This phase of land-use may respect the irregularly shaped enclosure recorded in BUN 010. A possibly later modification of the field boundaries appears to divide the larger field into three smaller fields. Very faint and intermittent linear cropmarks cross the large field in a north-west to south-east direction, and may be the remains of strip cultivation. (S2)
