Full Description

A field boundary of post-medieval or possibly medieval date can be seen as a cropmark on aerial photographs to the east of Grammer's Green, Mettingham parish, centred on circa TM364904. The cropmark, probably forming over a ditch created during the removal of a field boundary hedgerow, fits within the surrounding field system, filling in 'blanks' on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of circa 1884 to form long yet narrow, curvilinear fields.
