Full Description

A Second World War pillbox is visible on aerial photographs of the 1940s as a structure in the hedgeline adjacent to Bungay Road, Barsham parish, centred on circa TM 408898. Hexagonal in shape and approximately 4 metres wide, it is probably a type 22 pillbox. The pill box remains visible on photographs of the 1960s but it is unclear on 1990s photographs whether it has been destroyed by road widening. (S1-S3)
