Full Description

A series of parallel drainage ditches of probable post-medieval date are visible on aerial photographs as cropmarks and earthworks over an extensive area centred on circa TM 447914 to the south of the River Waveney, Worlingham parish. The drains are not marked on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of circa 1884, and therefore probably went out of use before this date, but were clearly constructed as part of the surrounding and extant drainage system.
