Abstract/Summary

Reproduced in Peter Kent, Fortifications of East Anglia (1988), p.150, and Kent cites the reference to the original map as a document in the Cecil Papers: Hatfield House MSS, CP 142/98(1). Kent says it was by Captain Edmund Yorke and dates it as July 1588. Also reproduced in Southwold and Its Vicinity, Ancient and Modern by Ribert Wake (1839).
