Archaeological evaluation report to fulfil a condition of the planning application. The trenches were cut into part of the old runway and hard standing which went down to a depth of 0.15-0.3m. Below that weaa deposit of made ground in excess of 1.2m in places. No archaeological features were present. Any features were likely to have been destroyed in the levelling of the area for the runway.
