Cropmark showing part of a moat? at Valley Farm. Owner participated in Time Team 'Big Dig' in 2003. Various Pmed artefacts found.

Small number of Med sherds recovered from the garden of Valley Farm, including 2 rims and a body sherd of possible Thetford type ware, or Thetford influenced (C11-C12 ?).

Feature previously recorded as a ring ditch but probably not archaeological in nature

Rim sherd of dark grey fabric, black surface, identified as Frankish Blackware, C7/C8 (S1). Also Med pottery scatter and Undated burnt flint patch.

Shallow pit (?) circa 20 feet diameter, two feet below surface, containing black earth, bones, shell and pottery, mainly C13 including rim with inscription, and sagging base cooking pot.
