Description

RINGSHALL BILDESTON ROAD TM 05 SW 5/160 Nine Elms Farmhouse - II Farmhouse, early C17. 2 storeys, in part with attics. 3-cell lobby-entrance plan. Timber-framed and plastered. Thatched roof with C17 axial chimney of red brick, recapped in C19 gault brick. C19 small-pane casements at 1st storey, mid C19 large-pane sashes below. Panelled C19 door at lobby entrance, the upper part glazed with small panes. Typical C17 framing: on-edge floor joists, close-studding, clasped-purlin roof. A good lintel led open fireplace in the hall. A late C17/early C18 single storey bakehouse is attached at the west end, with internal end chimney. Listing NGR: TM0192053435
