Description
2003: Five areas of Clare Castle were surveyed with the resistance technique. Areas 1 and 1A are situated in the former northern or outer bailey. Area 2 lies within the inner bailey. Area 3 is atop the motte. Area 4 is a narrow strip that runs along Lady's Walk. Gradiometry survey was also carried out in Areas 1 and 2.
