Description
Archaeological evaluation was carried our over three 20 by 20m areas to assess the impact of different heath restoration techniques. A small pit of unknown date was found in an area that was subject to topsoil strip, while a deer antler was recovered from an area where only the turf was removed. The third area was subject to rotavation, revealing an unstratified Neolithic end scraper and small scatters of heated flint.
