Full Description

Evaluation was undertaken during heathland restoration trials at Cavenham NNR. A single small undated pit was identified in an area subject to topsoil stripping, which also revealed that the archaeological levels occurred at a depth of c.0.35-0.45m. In an area of motivation an unstratified Neolithic end scraper and small scatters of burnt flint were observed (S1).
