Description
Geophysical survey suggests that woodland once extended at least partly across the area as well although cultivation, potentially ridge-and-furrow, might suggest this was cleared a long time ago. A number of clusters of anomalies that might indicate former activity foci were found but more obvious is a set of enclosures of probable prehistoric form that cover the northern part of the area and may be more extensive than apparent through magnetic means alone.
