Description
A ‘Walk Over Survey’ of land at Adastral Park, Martlesham, was undertaken in an attempt to identify any structures related to the earlier military history of the site. Adastral Park is situated within the boundaries of the former Martlesham Heath Airfield which operated from 1916 through to 1963. During the survey one building, now an office block, one possible gun emplacement, one single room shed, one unspecified concrete structure and two ‘pill-boxes’, one of which may have housed an anti-aircraft gun, were noted.
