Description

Eleven evaluation trenches were excavated, located in the former allotment areas and builders yard. Area B, to the N of the site contained a nimber of undated linear features, pits and postholes, thought to be associated with the late 19th/early 20th century allotments. Area C contained well preserved early Saxon features, possibly pits, ditches or sunken-floored buildings.
