Description

The majority of the pipeline involved very little ground disturbance. However, one length of 600m was stripped of topsoil (at the south end). The stripped width was 5 to 6 meters. Monitoring the trenched length of new pipeline revealed no finds or features of archaeological interest. However monitoring the stripped length (some 0.25 metre of topsoil was removed using a wide, toothless ditching bucket) did reveal some features of interest.
