Description

A total of three trenches were excavated by machine excavator. The trenches were excavated to a minimum depth of 1.8m. The trenches consisted of 0.9m of topsoil overlaying 0.8m of subsoil. Due to the depth of the trenching a programme of archaeological monitoring was carried out following the evaluation trenching (S1).
