Full Description

2010-2012: Archaeological monitoring and evaluation trenching revealed numerous pits intercutting pits of 16th to 18th and 19th century site across the site. This appears to coincide with the substantial expansion of the town during this period. Sherds of Post Medieval pottery and clay pipe were identified. Two residual sherds of Medieval pottery hint at earlier activity in the area (S1).
