Description
An archaeological evaluation was carried out in advance of proposed residential development. The evaluation consisted of 6 trial trenches located within the proposed development area. The trenches measured 30m long and 1.8m wide. The topsoil measured between 0.31m and 0.42m deep and the underlying subsoil between 0.16m and 0.45m deep. Evidence for large scale soil movement associated with large quarry pits was identified.
