Description
Evaluation ahead of a proposed development of a solar farm and associated services. 46 linear trenches totalling 1244m in length where excavated across two areas Site A and Site B. The trenches were between 0.1-0.6m deep. The southwestern part of Site A has been heavily truncated by modern pits and works associated with silage management. The trenches for Site B were located entirely or partially in woodland hampering access. The archaeological remains suggest that this was an area of Early Bronze Age occupation with a later Romano-British period of land enclosure.
