Description
The monitoring of the ground works for the foundation trenches, which were excavated using a medium sized 360 machine, was undertaken during a single site visit under good weather conditions and the upcast spoil was inspected closely as the work progressed. The foundation trenches were then entered and examined closely.
A single pit of recent 20th century date was uncovered, as well as 5 sherds of medieval pottery in the upcast spoil.
