Full Description

Southwold, 30 East Street monitoring of ground works for a rear extension revealed one pit of 20th century date. Stray finds in the upcast spoil included a large number of brick, tile and glass fragments of recent date plus a small number of pottery sherds of medieval, 12th to 14th century date, with the size and relatively unabraded state of these sherds indicative of past activity of this date in the East Street area.
