Description

An evaluation was carried out in advance of the construction of a car park for the base post office. A series of trenches approximately 0.5m deep and totalling 74m in length were excavated. All trenches were found to be cut into disturbed soil and so a series of three sondages were excavated to located undisturbed ground. In addition, a further 3 holes were excavated in a line to the south east of the existing parking area along the course of a proposed chain.
