Description
A test-trench was machine-excavated down to undisturbed natural subsoil to the north, east and south of the existing structure, using a digger fitted with a 1.5m toothless ditching-bucket. At the very onset of machining it became clear that the topsoil and upper subsoil' around the existing bungalow had been disturbed at a relatively recent date.
