Full Description

Small flanged axe, found metal detecting (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s)(S1)(R1).
A similar, although larger, specimen in Plymstock hoard, Devon (S2) parallels this axe and dates it to the Arreton tradition of the late EBA. For a similar example from Canada Farm, Icklingham, see IKL Misc BA (CRN ....).
