Full Description

Pre 1919: Hand-axe in British Museum, recorded as from `Pit in Canada Belt, Canada Farm' (S1).

Wymer only gives an estimated grid reference of TL 777 760 for Canada Farm and records: "A sharp patinated sub-cordate" (pointed, 7 cms long) "in the Sturge Collection is marked `Canada, surface'. A pointed hand-axe (with lingulate or irregular point and trimmed butt, 9.5 cms long) "in IPSMG is, in contrast, very rolled" (S1).

1984: A further hand-axe found on the surface at `Canada Farm' was in the Arthur Shinn collection, (S2).
