Full Description
Silver IA coin, Iceni, `Early Pattern-Horse A' series (S1). Obverse: 2 back to back crescents and 2 semicircles, similar to Allen no. 107. Fairly worn. Reverse: Horse to right, missing head. Dot/circle/petals motif below radiate ring & dot, similar to Allen 107 but horse more like Allen no. 108. One dot visible above horse. Worn, some concretion/corrosion. Diameter 11. 5mm. Relatively unusual Iceni type. Dating suggested by Allen around beginning of C1 AD (S2)(S3).
