Full Description

"Mr Henry Prigg exhibited the impression of a leaden seal found lately at Icklingham. The seal is of the thirteenth century and bears an ornamental cross between four mullets. Legend: S.'WIL(L)ELMI.BERCARI(I).D(E).BAT, ie, William, the Berger or Shepherd of Battisford, Co. Suff" (S1). See CRN 01954 for further seal from Icklingham.
