Full Description

1985: Fieldwalking by John Newman for SE Suffolk survey located thin scatter of C13/C14 pottery, over 30m x 30m area, on "Field 229". Adjacent & S of Hill Farm (late C15/C16 timber framed farmhouse). Finds consisted of 8 sherds Med coarseware.
Field also used as WWII military camp - much modern rubbish lying around, also pill box in NW corner, another near centre & one near S edge now demolished (S1).
