Full Description

22 June 1845: `Mr Hagreen... pointed out to me the "Priory Field" and informed us that ancient coins were frequently found there by the labourers ...' Following a request further finds were taken to Mr Fitch - 1 July: 23 coins including 2 Rom (see Rom), 7 Med (see Med) and a shilling of Henry VIII (1509-1547), a shilling of Edward V (1547-1553), 2(?) sixpences of Elizabeth I (1558-1603), 2+ sixpences of James I (1603-1625) and a shilling of Charles I (1625-1649).
