Full Description

"At other points of the excavation for the sewer (relating to sewage works at West Stow, opened 1887) little at present has been found. At Hengrave near the water mill some old rubbish pits containing pottery of ancient British fabric were intersected, and a portion of an urn preserved for the museum" (now in BSEMH?)(S1). He notes further finds from the sewer (trench) at Fornham Road (FAS Misc Rom), so presumably its route extends across the scheduled area HNV 002 & FAS 004.
Previously HNV Misc.
