Full Description

Assortment of bones in varying conditions recovered by workmen from working gravel pit at TM 127 505 approximately. Probably from variety of contexts. Mainly ox and deer (?date) but including front of top of human skull, condition described as `Hard, partly fossilized. Black deposit on inside' (S1).

The lack of preliminary evaluation and lack of understanding of provenence and straitigraphy make context and dating impossible. Broad Devensian date is given assuming material comes from gravel, (S2).
