Full Description

The building is essentially an aisled hall of C13-C14 with the aisles long removed. Service rooms present at both N & S ends (S1). We were requested to undertake minor trenching to look for evidence of the missing E wall of the aisle; any floor levels or central hearths. Excavation generally unsuccessful, aisle wall not located, hearths not located. Poorly defined and unassigned patches of flint found when floors dug out.
