Full Description

Relatively thin (? & dispersed) scatter of worked & burnt flint and animal bone. Main concentration in centre but stray flints found over most of field. Found fieldwalking by Colin Pendleton, P(see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s). Finds include chisel ended type arrowhead with splayed blade (collection no. RF 18)(c.f. MNL 254, MNL 257), scrapers etc (S1).
Also polished flint axe, MNL 021, from ?this field.
In 1970's (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s), reported how he and his father had found over a number of years, `hundreds of arrowheads' (leaf and barbed and tanged types), whilst horse ploughing etc, on this field. (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) has a small collection himself and is quite capable of identifying flints so his statement must be accepted as basically valid (CP). Also BA.
