Full Description

Gilded Ae disc-brooch with cloisonne decoration. Seven lobes bearing spheres of glass; three dark blue, four light blue. The central disc has four club- shaped petals in light blue, joining in the centre to divide four opaque white spots. The background is dark blue.
Traces of a catch and an iron pin on reverse. Late C10-C11. Diameter (without lobes) 2.1cms.
Found close to LSax cross shaped disc brooch, BRF 030.
