Med finds located during fieldwalking Forestry Commission replanted areas in 35m apart traverses:- TM 4185 5198: 1 base sherd Med coarseware; TM 4180 5214 2 Med body sherds (plus one struck flint); TM 4166 5203: 1 rim and 3 body sherds Med coarseware plus 2 tile fragments. Full Description

Med finds located during fieldwalking Forestry Commission replanted areas in 35m apart traverses:- TM 4185 5198: 1 base sherd Med coarseware; TM 4180 5214 2 Med body sherds (plus one struck flint); TM 4166 5203: 1 rim and 3 body sherds Med coarseware plus 2 tile fragments.
Further small Med pot scatter in this area - see SUE 019.
Note area close to isolated church - ?remains of former deserted village of Tunstall.
