Full Description

July 1990: Watching brief on erection of small extension to rear of 4 Gainsborough Street, TL 87296 41252. Natural 1m deep. Hand dug trenches with a lot of PMed disturbance and one or two pits with no brick or tile in fill - ?Med. No sign of towns defensive ditch. Finds: 3 sherds Med coarseware (S1).
