Full Description

Circa 1983: while disposing of old bibles by burying them in his kitchen garden, (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) located assortment of St Neots ware sherds. Following this he excavated 5 further trenches at various locations (see sketch map) in the (large) rectory garden. For sketch sections see (S1). Finds included Med & PMed sherds including some LSax/EMed Thetford type ware (S1).
