Summary

1965: Scatter/s of circa 60 sherds (including some ?grooved ware), some very large plus 1 tooth and 6 struck flints found on field surface, after first ploughed.

Full Description

1965: Scatter/s of circa 60 sherds (including some ?grooved ware), some very large plus 1 tooth and 6 struck flints found on field surface, after first ploughed, by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s). `Hearths' (burnt flint patches) also found (S2).
Pottery includes circa 20 sherds of grogged EBA type including 4 joining beaker base sherds with horizontal line decoration and 5 further decorated beaker body sherds.
Also 24 plain body and 2 flat base and 1 perforated rim sherd of coarse flint gritted pottery (?LBA/EIA), 1 fine flint gritted body sherd with horizontal line decor and 10 small body sherds fine flint gritted (?LBA/EIA). Also large upright slightly out-turned rim decor on exterior edge with finger nail, grogged (?MBA)(S1).
Circa 1968: Further grogged pottery sherds collected by members of Mildenhall Museum and Archaeological Society - now in Mildenhall Museum? Also Neo.
