Full Description
June 1991: pottery scatter and possible features noted during watching brief prior to construction of landscape lake in Henham Park (S1). Excavation over 1,200 sq metre area revealed settlement evidence in form of ditch and pits and pottey. All shallow features already removed by mechanical scrapers. Pottery scatter extends to N & E (context 0022) - estimate half of scatter site destroyed by lake construction. Context 0028: 2nd thin Med pottery scatter centred on TM 4484 7692 (S2).
