Full Description
Large bronze ?chisel. Described as having `folded over (i.e. not cast) funnel-shaped socket' and long blade, initially of square cross section but thinning to rectangular near chisel like end. Length 23.1cm, socket mouth diameter (ext) 2.3cm, length of socket 5.0cm, width of blade 1cm. Has white rectangular label marked 9363 - Brandon M.M.T. in dark ink and a second circular white label with 275 (over) 3 pencilled on it (S1). Catalogue entry records Brandon, Sussex, but no such location known. Many other objects in museum from Brandon, Suffolk suggest this also from Suffolk.
