Full Description
1989/90: Scatter of pottery and metalwork found metal detecting:- 3 base & 17 body sherds Med (C13/C14) coarseware (205g); bronze "locking" buckle (LMed/C16); bronze strapend buckle stamp ring & dot decorated (LMed/C16); bronze box mount (Med); bronze harness pendant mount with traces of tinning, cross shaped.
Also two C17/C18 buckles. Details in (S1). Area said to have definite dark soil compared to rest of field. Also coins of Edward I, Elizabeth I (2) & Charles I (S2).
