Full Description

September 1991: Watching Brief following digging of footing for new football clubhouse located flint scraper made on earlier patinated struck flint. Also small Post Medieval platform gunflint (pistol?) and small rim sherd of Post Medieval pottery. All items found in spoil from shallow footing trenches, circa 30- 40cm, to natural chalk. Area presumably levelled in past?

Descriptions of flint finds are broad, dating to a specific period bracket is ill-advised. However, they may be later Prehistoric, based on details of discovery, (S2)

Formerly recorded as MNL MISC
